US Venture Capitalists invest in Zmags

The American venture capital fund, OpenView Venture Partners, invests 20 million DKK ($4.2 million USD) in Zmags. The investment is partially due to an increased focus on the American market, which has been identified as a huge opportunity. This entails moving Zmags’ headquarters to new offices in Boston, MA USA, in order to remain close to the world’s largest online publishing market.

This investment is the latest step in the two-stage Zmags rocket launched with the investment from NorthCap Partners in January, 2008. We are now strategically positioned for a serious assault on the American market, currently handled from our sales office in Ottawa, ON Canada.

The impact will be most positively felt by our existing customers as we will now be greatly expanding our development group. This enables us to devote far more resources to further develop the Zmags online publishing solution to the benefit of our clients. In addition, the Support Group will continue to grow to stay ahead of Zmags’ remarkable growth.
