Michael Schreck
President & CEO


As the president and CEO at Zmags, Michael focuses on the global expansion of Zmags' Saas-based rich media merchandising and analytics. Michael is a co-founder and a former general partner at General Catalyst Partners; helped build several companies from inception, including Upromise, m-Qube and SmartBargains/RueLaLa; and served on the board of CoreMetrics. He has 20 years of experience in building and leading pioneering companies that have enabled the world’s most progressive brands to deeply engage with their customers via innovative business process, software, and technology. He was most recently CEO and president of Corrective Solutions, one of the country’s leading business and government services companies. Michael earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Brigham Young University. He served as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and Monitor Company and currently serves on a number of private boards along with the Presidential Advisory Council at Brigham Young University.
W. Sean Ford
COO & CMO


Sean oversees global marketing strategy, operations, customer support, product management, and corporate recruiting. Immediately prior to joining Zmags, Sean was the CMO of Syncsort, Inc. As Vice President of Global Business Unit Marketing at Oracle Corporation, he was responsible for all of Oracle’s vertical industries worldwide including Retail. At the start of his professional career, Sean worked as a strategy consultant with Monitor Group, and helped found Upromise. He holds an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business and a BA in English with a concentration in Economics from Williams College. He serves on the Board of Recovery Circles Foundation.


Hugh Merryweather
CFO


Hugh is responsible for the finance, accounting and risk management functions at Zmags. Previously, Hugh was COO and CFO at inStream Media, a provider of cross-channel targeted marketing services. Before that, Hugh was Global CFO at Circles, where he oversaw several areas of the business including finance, accounting, human resources, operations and business development. He also opened Circles London office following its acquisition by Sodexo. Hugh holds a joint MBA/MA in Accounting from Northeastern University and a BA in History from Amherst College. He has served or serves on several non-profit boards.


Jens Karstoft
Co-Founder & V.P. Strategic Innovation


Jens has been the driving force for Zmags’ aggressive growth and international expansion. In 2005, recognizing the potential for a highly interactive digital publishing platform, Jens started a Flash-based e-magazine. Very quickly, he and his partners were inundated with requests from other publishers to “make our magazine look like yours,” and Zmags was born. Prior to starting Zmags, Jens both founded and participated in several entrepreneurial ventures in his native Denmark. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Production Optimization and Management from The Technical University of Denmark


Brian Caulfield
V.P. Sales


Brian brings to Zmags over 16 years of high tech sales leadership experience. Prior to Zmags Brian was VP of Sales at Gomez, Inc. (acquired by Compuware), the leading SaaS-based provider of Web Performance Management services. At Gomez, he designed and implemented a highly successful Inside Sales model that dramatically increased Gomez’s success in the small and medium-sized business market, resulting in triple digit annual new bookings growth. Prior to Gomez, Brian served as Group Sales Director at Oracle, responsible for a team of 55 sales representatives and a $50 million annual budget. Before Oracle, he held sales and business development roles at edu.com (acquired by Student Advantage) and NECX (acquired by Gateway Computer).

Jonas Zimling
Director of Engineering


Jonas oversees Zmags’ Copenhagen office and leads R&D companywide. Prior to joining Zmags, Jonas served as Business Development Director for a private equity company. He has also served as Managing Director of a software development company, as board director on a number of private boards and in leadership positions within several technology companies.
